
General terms and conditions {weddings & functions}
VENUE HIRE
Included in the venue hire is standard of Deja-vu furniture and equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware, table numbers, napery and table linen. In peak wedding/function season a minimum of 100 guests will be required {for main hall} & a minimum of 20 guests for smaller functions {small halls & garden}, if not the client will still be liable to pay the minimum amount of guests.
MENU
Menu prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Children under the age of ten years will be charged 100% of the agreed adult menu price.
Children under the age of two years will not be charged.
Food may not be brought into the premises. Only the Wedding cake is allowed
FURNITURE AND EQUIPMENT
-The provision of Deja-vu standard furniture and equipment is at no extra charge. Please ensure that the equipment requested is satisfactory in advance of your function. Any additional items should be supplied or hired by the client at the client’s cost.-
- No fireworks will be allowed on the Deja-vu property.
- No live animals will be allowed on the Deja-vu property.
- Hooting and loud music will not be permitted in the driveway and parking areas.
- Music equipment may not be set up outdoors.
- No permanent alterations are allowed, to include nails or hooks in the walls, roof or frames. Any damage to Deja-vu property including linen, beyond repair will be charged accordingly
RISK/LOSS/DAMAGES
- No paper confetti, streamers, feathers or rice are allowed. You are welcome to use flower petals. If other confetti types are used regardless of the agreement, the client will be charged per hour for casual cleaning staff. Deja-Vu shall not be held liable for interruptions of services (water, electricity, sanitary services). Whilst every precaution will be taken to ensure the safeguarding of your belongings, Deja-Vu will not be liable for loss or damage to any property whatsoever (décor props, wedding gifts, valuables, etc). We recommend that all personal and valuable property be removed directly after the wedding.
- Décor and props must be removed after the wedding. Any items not removed within 7 days of being placed in storage will be discarded.
- Deja-Vu does not accept liability for loss or damage of any item during this period.
- Should the Deja-Vu building, surrounding gardens, décor or napery be damaged by the client or clients’ suppliers during the set-up or break down operations of the function, the client shall be held responsible and will be billed accordingly.
- Deja-Vu and its employees or any person employed at any wedding will not be held liable for any loss or injury to persons, due to negligence or any other cause whatsoever.
- Reasonable wear and tear will be charged accordingly.
- Only Deja-Vu candles will be allowed
- After 24:00 you will not receive your deposit.
- Although Deja-Vu's staff and management will go to the greatest extremes to make your wedding / function a big success, although, you will still be responsible to check prior to the function that everything is to your satisfaction.
CANCELLATIONS
A discount structure is detailed in the general terms and conditions to encourage bookings made less than 3 months prior to the date. Should it become necessary to offer a discount or any special rate, the value will be deducted from your non-refundable deposit and the balance refunded.
In the event of non-payment of the total account within 7 working days Deja-vu is entitled to cancel a provisional booking without further notice or liability to the client.
In the event of non-payment of the fees within the time specified, Deja-vu shall be entitled to cancel a booking after giving the client written notice giving them seven days to rectify.
No money is refundable once paid by the client. Any refund will be on the same basis as per the first point.
The final number of guests as discussed at the final appointment will be the number charged for unless attendance is greater. Bearing in mind that should this variance be below the minimums mentioned previously, clients will automatically be billed for the specified minimum.
Deja-vu reserves the right to cancel any booking forthwith and without liability on its part in the event of any damage to, or destruction of the venue by fire, shortage of labour, strikes, industrial unrest, or any other cause beyond the control of, Deja-vu which shall prevent it from performing its obligations. In these circumstances every effort will be made to find an alternative venue.
The client must confirm all changes and cancellations in writing.
